Privacy Policy

1. What We Collect
We collect the following information:
- Artists: name, email address, password (hashed), uploaded artwork, and pass customisation settings.
- Collectors: name and email address submitted when adding a pass, plus the pass serial number.
- Usage data: server logs (request timestamps, IP addresses) for security and debugging purposes.
2. How We Use Your Data
- To create and deliver Wallet passes to collectors.
- To send push notifications on behalf of artists.
- To manage artist accounts, billing, and subscription status.
- To improve the service and prevent abuse.
We do not sell your data to third parties, ever.
3. Third-Party Services
Art Pass uses the following third-party services to operate:
- WalletWallet — generates and delivers Apple Wallet and Google Wallet passes. Collector names and email addresses are transmitted to WalletWallet to personalise each pass.
- Paddle — processes subscription payments as Merchant of Record. We never store your payment card information; Paddle handles all billing, tax, and compliance.
- Object storage for uploaded artwork images.
4. Data Retention
Artist account data is retained while the account is active. Collector pass records are retained as long as passes remain active. You can request deletion of your account and data by contacting us.
5. Cookies
We use a single session cookie (art_pass_session) to keep you signed in to the artist dashboard. No third-party tracking cookies are used.
6. Security
Passwords are stored as salted scrypt hashes. All traffic is encrypted via HTTPS. We follow industry-standard practices to protect your data, though no system is 100% secure.
7. Your Rights
You have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data at any time. To make a request, email us at support@artpass.app. We will respond within 30 days.
8. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy. We will notify you by email at least 14 days before material changes take effect.
